Feeling stressed? Looking for a healthy break from studying and papers? Join STU Mental Health and STU Healthy Campus for some self-care events.

 

Hot Cocoa Walk
Monday, Dec. 6
3-4pm, Meet outside the JBO

 

St. Thomas’s Walking Group is thrilled to be hosting a Hot Cocoa Walk as part of this year’s De-Stress Fest on Monday, December 6! We will be meeting outside the JBO Fitness Centre at 3 pm and walking as a group to Milltown Roaster’s where you can warm up with a complimentary medium-sized hot drink of choice. Be sure to register at www.stu.ca/healthy in advance. We hope you will join us! 

 

Yoga and mindfulness session
Tuesday, Dec. 7
5-6pm, JBO Court

 

Carve some time out of your day for self-care on Tuesday December 7 with a yoga class hosted by Carolyn, our amazing yoga instructor from The Nest Yoga Studio, followed by a guided meditation from 5-6 pm in the JBO gymnasium. Come and learn some skills that you can use to help yourself de-stress during exam period and enjoy an hour of peace and relaxation!

 

Mental Health Goodie Bags

Be sure to stop by and treat yourself to a self-care goodie bag in JDH on Wednesday, December 8! Goodie bags will feature items to help you maintain your physical and mental well-being during this stressful time of year. You don’t want to miss out!

 

Holiday Ornament and Card Making

1-3pm, JDH lounge outside the mental health centre

 

Join STU Healthy Campus and STU Mental Health for a holiday crafting session on Thursday, December 9 from 1-3 pm in the JDH lounge outside of the mental health centre! Stop by at any point during this time and make your own holiday ornament or card! All supplies will be provided. If you wish to send a loved-one a letter, you may include their address and we will have it shipped to your friends or family for you.
