The Research Office is celebrating the launch of a pair of books developed by Fine Arts students at St. Thomas.

Exploring the Cosmos with Joseph Kashetsky is a book featuring the work of Joseph Kashetsky by students in the Drawing I and Drawing II courses and published by Xeno-Optic Press. The text was developed in conjunction with an exhibition of the artist's work currently on display at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. The book features a profile of the artist, reproductions of his work, and interviews with his brother Herzl Kashetsky, John Leroux of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, and his partner Ene Vahi.

From Feeling to Observation; Drawings by Stephen Scott is an exploration of the drawings of leading New Brunswick artist Stephen Scott by students in the Introduction to Art Fundamentals course. The text explores the drawings and studies of the artist, his studio practice, and his on-location drawings from his travels. The book features an essay by Virgil Hammock, Professor Emeritus of Mount Allison University, a foreword by Robert Barriault, and an interview with the artist.
