Yellow Box Gallery
The Yellow Box Gallery is dedicated to diversity in its programming. We strive to encourage students, and the community at large, to reflect critically and creatively on aesthetic, intellectual, and cultural practices in the arts.
The gallery is located on the third floor of the Margaret Norrie McCain Study Hall St. Thomas University. Visitors are welcome to view what is on display and enjoy the beautiful university campus.
Current Exhibit
Contemporary textile artist Lee McLean creates art to communicate a feeling. Reflecting upon her life, she explores composition and content to share her visual response to the world. She creates thread-stitched designs using printed, hand-dyed, and painted fabrics.
Based in New Maryland, New Brunswick, Canada, McLean holds certificates in Advanced Studio Practice in Textiles and Foundation Visual Arts from the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design. Her impactful works have been shown in juried exhibitions nationwide. Her visual art practice is supported by grants from Canada Council for the Arts and the New Brunswick Arts Board.
Lee McLean’s exhibit entitled Do not go gentle will be on display in the Yellow Box Gallery, McCain Hall, third floor from October 6th until December 22nd.
