GEND-2013. Introduction to Women's Studies and Gender Studies

This is the introductory course for the interdisciplinary field of Gender Studies. It is based upon the new scholarship in women's and men's studies, and encompasses a range of disciplines. The basis of femininity and masculinity is examined in the context of wider social relations, the historical subject, literature and literary voice, political economy, and social movements.
