Welcome Back Winter Carnival

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the weather, the pancake breakfast originally scheduled for Jan. 10 will be moved to Jan. 11. 

 

We're celebrating the start of the second semester and the return of our STUdents with a Welcome Back Winter Carnival Wednesday, January 10 and Thursday, January 11.

 

Join us for indoor and outdoor events that will bring our campus community together. The Winter Carnival will include a pancake breakfast, winter equipment rentals, courtyard treats, trivia and movie nights, dog therapy, and much more.

 

All STU students are encouraged to come to any and all events—come with old friends, come make new friends!

Wednesday, January 10

Winter Equipment Rentals

Anytime Jan 10/11, J.B. O’Keefe

Rent skates, snowshoes and sleds for free through the front desk of JBO! Limited sizing available, first come first serve.

 

Thursday, January 11

Pancake Breakfast 

9 am - 11 am, Sir James Dunn Hall Lobby

Free pancake breakfast open to all students, served by staff and faculty!

 

Community lunch 

11:30 am, Holy Cross House G7

Thursday's lunches are free and open to all STU students. This week’s lunch is celebrating Epiphany with King Cake/Rosca de Los Reyes/Galette des Rois.

Clubs and Societies Fair

12 pm - 2 pm, JDH lobby

Learn about all the clubs and societies you can join on campus!

Courtyard Treats

2 pm - 4 pm, Lower courtyard

Join us for some maple taffy, mini donuts, hot drinks, and games in the lower courtyard

Dog Therapy

1:30 pm - 3 pm, GMH 207

Come relax with therapy dogs brought to you by STU mental health.

Trivia night

7 pm - 9 pm, Dining Hall, GMH

Join us for a pub style Trivia night! Pub food will be served with your chance to win prizes. Entry is free for all STUdents (including dinner!).

 

Monday, January 15

STU’s Got Talent

Ted Daigle Auditorium, 5-7:30pm

Showcase your talent in this fun competition! The top 3 performers will earn big prizes. Performances can be in group or solo, and there is no need to sign up, just come and show your talent.

 

Tuesday, January 16

Winter Movie night

7 pm - 9 pm, BMH 101

Get the movie theatre feel without having to leave campus! Movie will be voted on by attendees, snacks provided!
