The annual STU Santas Campaign is Underway
The annual STU Santas program is underway for this holiday season.
The program assists STU students with children (16 and under) in financial need during the holidays.
We understand that it's hard to cope with the extra expenses that crop up around the holidays, especially as a student, and many members of our STU community look forward to the opportunity to lend a helping hand through this program.
Through the support of faculty, staff, and student donations, these students are provided with financial assistance or gifts to bring a little extra joy to their holiday celebration.
Last year, the STU Santas campaign raised $4,094 to support 28 children of STU students in financial need over the holidays.
“These admirable students are balancing school, work, parenting, and often other challenges, and could really use a helping hand. STU Santas has become known as a heartwarming way for our STU community to step up and demonstrate its typical kindness and generosity. We hope we can count on you to make Christmas a little brighter for these remarkable students and their families.”
Please consider making a donation between now and the close of the campaign on December 4th. One hundred percent of your donation will go to our STU Santas families.
Here's how to make a gift:
- Donate through our online donation page,www.STU.ca/STUSantas.
- Donations will also be accepted at the STU Financial Services office.
- This year, we will once again offer a "Jesse Tree" option. Come check out our Christmas Tree outside the Chapel in Holy Cross House. Ornaments will indicate gifts requested by our student families. Take an ornament, buy the gift, and place it, together with the ornament, back under the tree by December 7th.
