Updated April 21, 2020

The Provincial Government has established Emergency Bridge Funding for Vulnerable Post-Secondary Students to support domestic and international students directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please note that the deadline to apply for this funding was April 21, 2020.

The funds will be distributed based upon eligibility criteria (see below) and will provide a one-time amount of up to $750 per student. Eligible students must demonstrate a financial gap in meeting their basic needs between now and the end of the semester. Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis taking into consideration issues such as the need for food, shelter, unanticipated medical costs not covered through health plans, and unforeseen additional academic support costs.

To qualify for this funding, students must not be eligible for the following:

  • Student Loans or Grants
  • One-time provincial emergency fund of $900
