Welcome Back Winter Carnival: January 8-9, 2020

We’re celebrating the winter season and the beginning of the second semester by bringing back one of STU’s oldest traditions—the Winter Carnival!

Join us on Wednesday, January 8 and Thursday, January 9 for indoor and outdoor activities that will bring our campus community together.

 


 



Wednesday, January 8

  • STU-themed ice sculpture
    by Joel Palmer of Swamp Bear Art. Live carving begins just after 11:00 AM in the lower courtyard.

  • Discounted supper at the STU Dining Hall featuring winter comfort foods. Cost: $6.90
    A maximum of ten STUdents will be invited to participate in an Oreo Dunk Contest—participants and the winner will receive gift cards! 

  • Coffee House in the Great Hall
    From 6:30-8:30 PM, come enjoy a hot beverage and baked goods while appreciating the talent of fellow peers. All items will be available by donation with proceeds supporting the CHIMO Helpline. Please bring your own mug!

 

Thursday, January 9

  • Green and Gold Day
    Show off your Tommie Pride by sporting the Green and Gold!

  • Winter Clubs and Societies Fair
    10:30 AM-2:30 PM, James Dunn Hall

  • STU Swag Sale
    10:30 AM-2:30 PM, James Dunn Hall

  • Social in the Lower Courtyard
    Join us in the lower courtyard from 4:00-6:00 PM for hot apple cider, maple taffy by Dumfries Maples, mini donuts, winter Spike Ball, frozen tug-o-war, and more!
