Information for Grads
- A list of graduation candidates who have been approved by the Registrar’s Office will be posted on the STU website at http://www.stu.ca by 10am, Wednesday, May 8th. If your name is not posted, please contact Karen Preston, Registrar (preston@stu.ca).
- Family and friends of graduating students are welcome to attend Convocation. Although we do not issue tickets at May convocation, we do suggest that graduates keep their guests to no more than four.
- Your gown and hood must be returned to the Black Box Theatre immediately following Convocation. Your diploma will be available (provided your account has been paid in full) in the Black Box Theatre after you have returned your gown and hood.
- The STU Alumni Association will be offering a diploma framing service after Convocation in the JDH Cafeteria. If you wish to have your diploma framed at this time, we recommend ordering in advance. For those graduates who order and pay for their frames in advance, they will receive their framed diploma upon the return of their grad gown if ordered by Monday, May 6, 2019. Frames will still be available for purchase on graduation day; however, there may be a wait time based on demand. Pre-order and purchase your frame with cash, credit card or personal cheque in the Alumni Relations office (Room 413, McCain Hall) during regular business hours or email: alumni@stu.ca or phone: 506.452.0521. Proceeds from frame sales help support important alumni relations programming provided by the St. Thomas University Alumni Association.
- You are required to pay a graduation application fee of $50 whether or not you choose to attend Convocation.
