Dr. DiPaolo was born in Fredericton and is a graduate of St. Thomas University. She did her MA and PhD in Political Science at Syracuse University in New York State and taught at Middle Tennessee State University for six years before returning to Fredericton in 2014. She is the author of Zones of Twilight: Wartime Presidential Powers and Federal Court Decision Making (Lexington, 2009) and the co-editor of The Politics of Twin Peaks (Lexington, 2019). She is currently co-authoring a monograph examining what popular culture can teach us about human rights with a focus on HBO’s Succession.   

 

At St. Thomas University, she created the moot court program, which she also oversees and was chair of the human rights department from 2014-2024.
