Our Residence Buildings

Living in residence is an important part of the university experience for many students. Residence is a place to develop life skills and lasting friendships.

For students leaving home for the first time, living in residence is a comfortable first step to successful independence. Each residence has shared study areas, TV lounges, laundry facilities and snack machines. Residence rooms are equipped with wireless internet. Quiet hours are in place every day for study and sleep. Campus is patrolled 24/7 by full-time security staff. Each residence has a Residence Advisor that is on duty from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM each day.

Campus Housing

Harrington, Vanier, and Holy Cross are located on campus and offer students convenient access to classes, faculty offices, the library, fitness centre, study spaces, and other frequently used student facilities.

Harrington Hall

Harrington Hall (renovated in 2017-2018) offers gender mixed wings that have updated rooms, kitchens, and lounges.  Shared washrooms have a high degree of privacy, and there is a private washroom available on the second floor. Harrington Hall is located directly adjacent to George Martin Hall, giving residents easy access to the main dining hall on campus. Harrington is steps away from study spaces, classrooms, the fitness centre, faculty offices, and more. The first floor level of Harrington is designed for accessibility offering a number of barrier free rooms and accessible friendly washroom and bathroom.

Vanier Hall

The newly renovated Vanier Hall offers gender mixed wings and is located on the opposite side of George Martin Hall as Harrington Hall. Shared washrooms have a high degree of privacy, and there is a private washroom available on each floor. Each floor is a small community, with amenities in each lounge. Vanier offers close proximity to the main dining hall, study spaces, classrooms, the fitness centre, faculty offices, the Vanier parking lot, and more.

Holy Cross House

Our smallest house on campus, Holy Cross House is the only all-female residence. It is located in the upper courtyard of campus. The two sides of the building are dedicated to residence rooms, while the inside of the building houses faculty offices, classrooms, and the university chapel. Students living in Holy Cross House have a shared kitchen space and share a bathroom with students from their wings. The house is adjacent to the Holy Cross House parking lot.
