The Third Age Centre is presenting “A Conversation about Medical Assistance in Dying” on Nov. 21 from 2-4 pm at the Fredericton Inn, 1315 Regent Street, Fredericton.

The guest speaker will be Chantale Arseneault, BSN, RN, Regional Medical Assistance in Dying Coordinator for Horizon Health Network. As a registered nurse, her role within Horizon Health Network is to help patients and their families navigate the complex process of obtaining Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID). 

This education session will focus on the MAID legislation and includes the following:

- The history of MAID in Canada

- Who is eligible?

- What are the safeguards?
