Special Announcement at St. Thomas University

You are invited to join the Hon. Frank McKenna, Deputy Chair–TD Bank Group, Sean Finn, Executive Vice-President, CN, and Dawn Russell, President and Vice-Chancellor, St. Thomas University for a special announcement involving the Hon. Douglas Young.

The announcement will take place on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 2 pm in the Student Lounge of Sir James Dunn Hall.

About Doug Young

A native of Tracadie, Doug Young is a proud alumnus of St. Thomas College and St. Thomas University. He was elected as Member of the Legislative Assembly for Tracadie in 1978 and later served as Leader of the Liberal Party of New Brunswick and Leader of the Official Opposition. He was elected to the House of Commons in 1988 and would serve in the government of Prime Minister Jean Chretien in numerous senior ministerial portfolios.

Doug was partner at Young & Young in Tracadie and counsel for Cox and Palmer in Atlantic Canada. He has been involved in development projects in Canada, the United States, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa, Mexico, and Australia. He has served on the board of directors for numerous corporations, public institutions, and charities, and is chair of Summa Strategies Canada.
