Course: ITAL2033. Italy Travel-Study: Introduction to Italian Civilization


Travel Dates: June 4-24, 2024

Cost: $3275.00 includes: registration, tuition for 3 credit hours of instruction, partial transfer fees airport-hotel, hotel accommodation (double occupancy), all breakfasts, one group banquet in Rome, program related ground transportation between cities and local transit within cities, entrance fees to museums and sites that are visited as part of the program.

 

This travel study tour of Italy offers a harmonious blend of culture and countryside. It presents an overview of Italian civilization from its origins to the present day. Discover the beauty of Italy as a major influence of western civilization and the humanities. Highlights include: Venice (4 nights) including the islands of Murano and Burano; Florence (4 nights) including the Accademia Gallery; Rome (11 nights) including Vatican City and a day trip to Pompeii. This course offers students a unique immersion into Italian art, architecture, cuisine, history, music, fashion and current events. (Taught in English, 3 credits. Knowledge of the Italian language is not required. No prerequisite required)
