Shaunda Wood

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Shaunda Wood is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at St. Thomas University in NB. She has worked in university settings for over 20 years, teaching courses in Educational Psychology, and Methods in Science and Mathematics. She has conducted studies examining how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics [STEM] are best learned especially by women and non-traditional populations. This research included elementary-aged gifted-girls, doctoral electrical/mechanical engineers, engineering professors, as well as B.Ed. students’ perceptions of teaching STEM. Her current research involves determining best practices for teaching coding and digital literacies with elementary students from diverse schools, communities, and families.
