A native of Toronto, Dr. Robinson lived in Halifax and in Boston before coming to St. Thomas University. He holds a PhD from Boston College, an MA from Dalhousie University, and a BA from the University of King’s College.

Before he came to St. Thomas University in 2012, Dr. Robinson taught in the Foundation Year Programme at the University of King’s College, Halifax, and in the philosophy department at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. While teaching at Boston College he twice earned the Donald J. White teaching excellence award for distinguished classroom instruction.
