Dr. Andrew Moore is Associate Professor in the Great Books Program. He began teaching in Great Books in 2008, and in the Aquinas: Great Books Program in 2009. Dr. Moore has taught many of the program’s core courses, including Quest for the Good Life, Human Nature and Technology, Nations and Borders, Philosophy and Art, and Freedom. 

While his primary expertise is in early modern literature, he has had the opportunity to teach and write on a variety of literary genres, including Greek tragedy, epic poetry, contemporary television, and the novel. His studies in political theory include lectures and publications on Aristotle, Machiavelli, Hobbes, and Hannah Arendt. 

Dr. Moore has also had the pleasure of supervising a variety of undergraduate honours theses on a diverse range of subjects, including Homer, Shakespeare, Machiavelli, Hobbes, Arendt, Judith Jarvis Thomson, and George Grant.
